This is a gorgeous, and impeccable slice of Petrified Wood specimen that is on clearance because there is a crack on one side - which is seen in the second picture of this listing. It displays rich black interior and a rough, bark exterior around the rim of the log slice. These darker shades of petrified wood are typically more rare. Petrified wood gives an excellent wise, protecting and grounding energy.
Petrified Wood is created when after volcanic eruption trees are buried in the ash and lava. The heat kills off any wood destroying microbes and they are replaced by rich minerals, such as; calcite, opal, jasper, chalcedony and quarts. The beautiful display of colors are traces of the different minerals and elements. Nature is full of beauty and art!
